Description: Luna is one gorgeous gal! Approximately 3 yrs. old. Housebroken, well-behaved, good with other dogs, not sure about cats. Very sweet girl. Luna was a victim of abuse, her previous owner bred her, beat her, then dumped her at a local gassing shelter. Luna needs a loving, caring home that will lavish her with all the TLC that she so richly deserves! No homes with children under 12 yrs. old, please.
Luna’s Life-Saving Surgery - A Plea for Help
Our dear, sweet Luna was recently diagnosed with a serious infection of the uterus called Pyometra. A special thanks to our wonderful vet, Dr. Singh, who performed the life-saving surgery (and gave us a very generous discount). Luna is doing wonderfully and is on the road to a full recovery. The vet bill for Luna's surgery totaled $600. Please consider making a donation to help us pay for Luna's surgery.
Pyometra is a very common, life-threatening condition that occurs in female dogs who are not spayed. It is 100% preventable by spaying your female dog! No matter what age your dog is, if you truly love her, get her spayed - her life depends on it! For more information on Pyometra, click here.

If you are interested in adopting this pet, please read the following info first:
You MUST fill out an adoption application FIRST before meeting any of our dogs.We DO NOT have a shelter, our dogs are fostered in private, individual homes. For the safety of our foster dogs and volunteers, we do not allow potential adopters to meet any foster dog, until an adoption application has been submitted and reviewed.
Our first priority is the welfare of each of our dogs. We will choose the home that we feel is the best match for each dog's personality and needs..We are a very small group with only a handful of volunteers. We have multiple dogs in our care, and our volunteers also have full-time 9-5 jobs. So please be patient.
A Better Place Mission Statement:Provide companion animal education, promote and provide spaying and neutering of pets, and continue rescue work to make the community "A Better Place".
